Insulated livestock drinkers

Water, always available.

KALDRA makes drinkers for cattle, horses, sheep and pigs.

  • 01Thermal insulation. Polyurethane foam insulation between the double walls helps maintain a stable water temperature all year round.
  • 02Optional heating. A 24 V heating element ensures reliable operation of the drinker at temperatures down to −30 °C.
  • 03Protected fittings. The float valve is located in a closed technical compartment and automatically maintains a constant water level.

03Construction

Why farmers choose them

The construction shared by the whole range — from a 42 cm bowl to a trough 4.6 m long.

  1. 01

    Polyurethane insulation

Double walls filled with a 50–60 mm layer of polyurethane foam. They keep water cool in summer and reduce the risk of freezing in winter — with no electricity.

  2. 02

    Water and productivity

Animals drink less than they need when the water is warm, stale or icy — and milk yield and weight gain show it directly. Cool, clean water freely available sustains the herd's productivity.

  3. 03

    Fresh water, no stagnation

The valve refills water as it is consumed, preventing stagnation. On some group models the water surface is covered by a lid with floating balls.

  4. 04

    Protected float valve

On open drinkers the valve is the most vulnerable part. Here it sits in a separate closed compartment — out of the animals' reach and protected from frost.

  5. 05

    One-piece body, no seams

The body is moulded as a single piece — a high-strength seamless construction that rules out leaks. The polyethylene is UV-resistant and food-grade.

04Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the water really stay ice-free without electricity?

Yes: the thermal insulation keeps water ice-free down to −15 °C without electricity (ball-cover models down to −25 °C). For harder frost there is a heating element — water at 15–20 °C even at −30 °C.

Why are there no prices on the site?

Availability, price and delivery are confirmed on request within one working day.

Where and how do you deliver?

Across the EU: compact items as a courier parcel, large drinkers on a pallet by freight. Other countries — on request.

What about spare parts?

Floats, plugs and heating elements are kept in stock. Each model page lists its spare parts with part numbers.

Which animals are they for?

Cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs. The catalogue has filters by animal, capacity and drinker type.
